Funders for Reproductive Equity convened its 2018 Annual Meeting in Austin, Texas December 6 & 7. Fifty-nine reproductive health, rights and justice donors gathered with two dozen leaders in the field to discuss pressing topics, emerging issues and cutting-edge thinking about grant making and philanthropy. Drawing from the meeting’s location in the heart of the Lone Star State, some elements of the conference shone a spotlight on the context for our issues in Texas. The intersections of reproductive health, rights and justice with migration, racial equity and youth were also highlighted, and donors focused on efforts outside the U.S. met as a cohort to discuss their grantmaking, as well as the context for reproductive rights in Argentina.
